The Figure Skating Program at Kendall Ice Arena offers a dynamic and supportive environment for skaters of all ages and skill levels to develop their abilities on the ice. With a team of experienced coaches, the program provides comprehensive instruction ranging from basic skills classes to advanced freestyle training and choreography. Skaters can participate in group lessons, private lessons, and competitive track programs, all designed to build confidence, technique, and artistry. Kendall Ice Arena also hosts seasonal shows, USFS testing, and competitions, giving skaters the opportunity to showcase their progress and passion in front of an enthusiastic community.

The Compete USA South Florida Basic Skills Series is a long-standing figure skating competition circuit designed to foster skill development and competitive experience for skaters of all ages and levels. Celebrating its 22nd season in 2025, the series includes three events: March 22–23 at Kendall Ice Arena in Miami, May 3–4 at Palm Beach SkateZone in Lake Worth, and the Miami Open Championship Finals on May 31–June 1, also at Kendall Ice Arena .​

Endorsed by Learn to Skate USA and U.S. Figure Skating, the series offers events ranging from Snowplow Sam (Tots) to Preliminary levels, as well as Aspire, Excel, and Well-Balanced categories for higher-level competitors, including adults . Skaters accumulate points across required events—such as Elements, Compulsory, Basic with Music, and Freeskate with Music—to qualify for final placement trophies. Additional points can be earned by participating in extra events like Spins, Jumps, Interpretive, and Showcase .​

The 2025 Miami Open Figure Skating Championship, hosted by the Miami Figure Skating Club, is scheduled to take place from May 30 to June 1, 2025, at Kendall Ice Arena in Miami, Florida. This prestigious event is part of the U.S. Figure Skating's 2025 Excel Series, offering competitive opportunities for skaters from Pre-Preliminary through Senior Singles, as well as Excel and Adult levels, all judged under the International Judging System (IJS) . Additionally, the championship will serve as the season finals for the Compete USA South Florida Basic Skills Series, providing a platform for skaters to showcase their development and earn recognition . Registration for the competition is available through the U.S. Figure Skating's Event Management System (EMS), and further details can be found on the Miami Figure Skating Club's official website at miamifsc.com.
