Paul Healey - Hockey Program Director

 

Paul is a former National Hockey League player who concluded a 15-year professional hockey career in 2009. He played over 1,000 games in the NHL, AHL, Swedish Elite League, Finnish National League and Austrian League. Healey joined the Kendall Ice Arena team as hockey director in 2011. Paul was the Assistant Coach for the Florida Everblades (ECHL) during the 09-10 season and was asked to assist with coaching two of the Junor Panthers teams. He was lead instructor and was named the Director of Coaching for the Florida Junor Panthers Program in 2011, before leaving and taking the position of Hockey Program Director at KIA. Paul lives in Weston with his wife Megan and his son Reilly.

 
 
John Arceo - U-10 & U-8 and Learn to Play
Johnnie hails from Hayward, California and started playing in 1976. He started coaching in '87 for the Berkley Bears Hockey Club. He has been a hockey instructor for 15 years. In 2006, he was the assisting coach to the Oakland Seals Women's Hockey Club. He started with the Toros in 2011, where he has been coaching the U8 and the U10. 

 

Dr. Daniel Ramirez - Goalie Coach
Daniel is a Miami native who has been involved in athletics and fitness his whole life. He started playing baseball at three years of age and followed with soccer, basketball, football, roller hockey, and finally found his passion for ice hockey. Daniel pursued his passion and went from Miami to Portland, ME (Portland Jr. Pirates
 ); Buffalo, NY (Wheatfield Jr. Blades); and Annville, PA (Lebanon Valley College) where he ultimately finished his career playing NCAA ice hockey. 
Daniel maintains his passion for hockey and sports, but has shifted his focus  to coaching young athletes. Daniel currently works at Miami Children's Hospital (West Kendall) as a Sports Medicine Physical Therapist and has completed additional education in order to become a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specilist in order to provide the highest therapy and training to his patients and clients. Coupled with his high level of academic knowledge is his experience working with kids for over 10 years.

Kevin Hoy

Kevin Is A Florida native who grew up training under goalie coach Robb tallas of the Florida Panthers and Paul Healey. Kevin grew up playing for the Everblades and Sharp Shooters youth programs until moving up north at 15 to play Jr hockey most notably for the BayState Breakers. He also played for the Palm Beach Jr Hawks that got to Semi-finals in Nationals. Kevin Played in Jr Leagues such as EMJHL, EJHL, MJHL & The AJHL. After Jr’s Kevin attended Becker College to play NCAA DIII before transferring to FGCU. After FGCU Kevin went on to play 3 season of Minor Pro with the Danbury Whalers of the FHL and Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
