2013-2014 MIAMI TOROS HOCKEY
Welcome
to the Miami Toros youth hockey program. The only youth travel hockey program in
Miami/Dade. The Miami Toros is a USA Hockey sanctioned program and is a member
of the Statewide Amateur Hockey Organization of Florida. The Miami Toros program
is a, “Pay 2 Play program’ Our coaching staff consists of professional,
dedicated individuals who have met the criteria set forth by USA Hockey and
Kendall Ice Arena, which is the home facility of the Miami Little Toros.
Our new hockey director is Paul Healey. Healey concluded a 15-year professional
hockey career in 2009 after playing over 1,000 games in the NHL, AHL, Swedish
Elite League, Finnish National League and more. Healey joined the Saveology.com
Iceplex team as a private hockey instructor in 2007 and was the Assistant Coach
for the Florida Everblades (ECHL) during the 09-10 season and has previously
volunteered on a part-time basis with JR Panthers.
Paul Healey will bring an extremely high level of playing and coaching
experience to the Kendall Ice Arena Hockey Program!
In this, our seventh season we will build upon the success of last year with the
expansion of teams at the Pee-wee AA level, Bantam and Midget Minor age groups.
We will again field teams at the Mite “A”, Squirt “A” and Pee-wee “A” levels.
Teams will compete in the Florida Amateur Hockey League, (F.A.H.L.). The
F.A.H.L. Is the governing association for USA Hockey locally. USA Hockey is the
nationally recognized governing body by the U.S. Olympic Committee for the sport
of ice hockey in the United States. The F.A.H.L. consists of teams from West
Palm Beach, Coral Springs, Fort Myers, Pembroke Pines, Kendall, Light house
Point and Jacksonville. Further travel can be decided by the program director,
the coaching staff of each team and families.

team for winning the Peewee A Division at the 2013 MLK Sunfest Cup
Tournament sponsored by the Jr. Orange Bowl! Players are: Darius Bell,

Ghisellini, Lawrence Jacas, Brett Katz, Sebastian Lopez, Alasdair
MacEachern, Jonah Margolesky, Wyatt Martin, Thomas McMichael, Nicholas
Powell, Colby Roal, Edgar Rodriguez, and Andreas Thurn. Coached by Head
Coach Tim Graf, Assistant Coach Edriam Dilone, Assistant Coach Wayne
Roal, and Assistant Coach Wayne Whitmore. Congratulations again Toros!
Kendall Ice Arenas would also like to congratulate our Miami Toros
Squirt A team for winning the Squirt A Division at the 2013 MLK Sunfest
Cup Tournament sponsored by the Jr. Orange Bowl! Players are: Carols
Arana, Devon Bas, Valentino Bornancini, Sarah Cottreau, Andre Dominguez,
Charles Doucet, Benjamin Galvez, Trevor Grande, Kary Ishwaran, Lucas
Johnson, Brody Lim, Alexis Martinez, Rhys Noda, and Connor Thurn.
