Learn to Skate Group Classes

THE "COOLEST" CLASS IN TOWN!

Boy Ice SkatingLearn to ice skate group classes

USFS Basic Skills ProgramThe only ice arena in Miami/Dade County with the largest Learn to Skate Program in Florida!

Our Skating Academy is taught by experts and we utilize the US Figure Skating Basic SkillsBasic Skills Program. The Basic Skills program will help you learn all the fundamentals of figure skating — it's simply the best way to take to the ice. The Basic Skills program is designed by U.S. Figure Skating and in cooperation with USA Hockey to be the best beginning ice skating program that is fun, challenging and rewarding.

The curriculum is designed to keep boys, girls and adults enthusiastic about learning from the time they begin lessons until the time they reach their goals. Whether your goal is to achieve Olympic fame or simply enjoy the recreationalboys hockey benefits of skating, Basic Skills is for you! The entire Basic Skills program has special classes for many facets of skating including free skate, pairs, synchronized skating, choreography (Artistry in Motion) and hockey.

Our program is designed to be super flexible with busy families in mind! In other words, you get eight classes (not eight weeks) when you purchase a group class punch card which can be used on any day that your level is offered. Most skaters opt to take one class per week, but you can skip a week or even take multiple classes per week. It's all up to you and how fast you would like to progress. Please note that you can start at any time. Our Snowplow Sam (Tots), Basic 1 and Adult classes have an open enrollment policy and are designed to accept new students each week.

For information on Skate Academy Programs please call the Skating Academy Office at 305-386-8288. You may also email Skating Program Director Kent Johnson. Students may enroll anytime during opening hours!
